Reach4Hope partnered with Gateway Church and City Church International to bless over 1,000 children and families at the Back2School Bash celebration. Lunch, snow cones, face painting, bounce houses, clothing corner, and backpacks stuffed with school supplies! What a great day – special thanks to Gateway VII, Bless Gateway and Crosspointe Church for the generous donations of school supplies. We believe every child should start the school year prepared!
Summer Discipleship Program
8 weeks studying the Book of John reminded us of how deep and wide our student’s thoughts are with regard to the life of Jesus. Deep, meaningful small group discussions and teachings with fun fellowship over dinner. Grateful to Pastor Jeff Parker and Royal Priesthood Academy for letting us meet at their wonderful church.
I Got Your Back
Save the date for the back to school Block Party August 16, 11am to 2pm at Turner Courts Gym, 6717 Bexar St., Dallas TX 75215. Over 1,400 Dallas children in at-risk community will be blessed with backpacks and school supplies!
Special thanks to First Baptist Dallas for hosting over 20 of our children to their AMAZING Vacation Bible School this Summer. What a joy for our children, providing an opportunity for fun and growth that would be out of reach for many of our Homework Center students.
Fall at Homework Center is busy!
Thanks to the many faithful volunteers, HWC has been able to add more children and yet increase the meaningful activities that offer enrichment and a greater view of the world. Elementary students enjoyed “The Lion King” at Music Hall Fair Park in October. Preteens and teens ran or walked in Race for the Cure Dallas 5K. All ages participated in a service project to collect and bag personal care hygiene items (Bandaids, soap, toothbrushes, tissue, toothpaste), for the purpose of blessing other children in our South Dallas area.
Thank you for every dollar and prayer of support for the Reach4Hope children. We are humbled and grateful and commit to being good stewards of your generosity.
Homework Center opened the 2013/2014 school year in the South Dallas Community of Bonton at Turner Courts Community Center & Gym, in partnership with HIS BridgeBuilders in South Dallas. The facility will allow more children and teens to be served, fed, mentored discipled, and loved on. There’s lots to do! Please join us by clicking on the green “Sign up Now” button to the right and making your selection.
